Job Description

My client, a well-known Financial Services organisation, are currently seeking a highly experienced Business Analyst to work on a critical project for a new banking subsidiary in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KAS). The role is based predominantly in Manchester with some travel to London.

The BA on this project team has the responsibility to gather, analyse, document, and validate the needs of the business (Finance) stakeholders. The candidate serves as the principal conduit for managing the deliverables and relationship between internal stakeholders (Corporate PMO, Compliance, Risk, Corporate Treasury and Controllers (Finance) and external advisors (PwC, Clifford Chance, KSA bank).

Responsibilities:
  • Work with the  Head of Regulatory Reporting to support the delivery of Finance tasks
  • Act as a conduit between the  Head of Regulatory Reporting  and internal and external stakeholders
  • Adherence to regulatory governance policies
  • Advice and education to the business and business partners departments on the impact of the new KSA office
  • Local financial accounting and reporting and any local GAAP requirements
  • Local statistical reporting e.g. to the Saudi Central Bank
  • Local systems & controls, incl. oversight & governance, disaster recovery, record mgmt and internal audit
  • Local prudential internal monitoring & external reporting
  • Minimum binding prudential requirements for capital, liquidity, interest rate risk management etc.
  • Internal risk management requirements (if any) with respect to capital, liquidity, and interest rate risk e.g. ICAAP and ILAA

Requirements:
  • Previous relevant Saudi/Middle East experience is essential, i.e set up an office in KAS
  • Qualified Accountant or with an equivalent level of experience
  • Regulatory reporting experience
  • Experience in complex processes with multiple interlinking processes
  • Significant experience of accounting systems and processes (e.g. advanced user of excel)
