One of my clients, the CEO of a household name FS firm, is looking recruit a Head of Strategic Change into the firm, working directly alongside him in the CEO Office to help drive strategic and operational change across the organisation.

Growing rapidly, and in an enviable position of strength within their market, this is a rapidly-changing not-for-profit organisation that is becoming more commercially-minded by the day.

The CEO has a need for high calibre project management and executive assistance to help them to manage their workload efficiently.

A Strategic Change Manager is therefore required to perform a complex role that is part project manager, part executive assistant, part strategist, working directly with the CEO. 

The role is to identify, research and support transformational change opportunities via a strategic, fresh, systematic and supportive approach enabling the identification of issues, risks and opportunities to drive lasting change, business performance, and growth.

  • To design, develop and implement strategic CEO sponsored projects; including management of resources, budgets and third-party suppliers; acting as a sounding board for the business, ensuring that growth and change aspirations are delivered to plan and defined deliverables.
  • Support the CEO in the monitoring of business and Senior Management team members performance against strategic goals and growth metrics to enable preparation of Board business update reports and Performance Appraisal reports for the Remuneration and Appointments Committee.
  • Assess change impact and develop change management strategies, communications plans, sponsor road maps, coaching plans and where required resistance management plans in conjunction with the Senior Management team.
  • Analysis of business functions and / or problems to implement solutions and add creativity throughout organisational transformation.

You will be an experienced project manager, ideally with a background within the financial services or pensions industries.  Detail focused, with a systematic approach to problem-solving, you will have a strategic and visionary mindset, able to both drive projects to completion, and originate others.
