Over these past couple of months, BWD have had a lot of anniversaries to celebrate.
Sam Scott, Mohammed Chaudhry and Lorraine Robertson are all celebrating their one-year anniversary at BWD!
Sam Scott joined BWD in September 2018, following his graduation from the University of York with a 2:1 in Business & Management. Sam is BWD’s Internal Talent Acquisition, and also assists in resourcing candidates for one of our divisions. He even brought in some lovely cakes and a Colin the Caterpillar to celebrate! (The office was very happy about this!)
Since moving into recruitment, Lorraine has specialised in the contracting and interim market, amassing an impressive portfolio of successful projects in Multi Scale, Multi Process Operations Management, Global Migration, Change Management and Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management. This year, Lorraine has also made an addition to her team. Haleema, who has recently passed her probationary period, together, they are helping all the Change Management clients and candidates. Lorraine also brought in some yummy treats to share (which went incredibly quickly!)
Mohammed Chaudhry joined BWD in 2018 as Divisional Director Actuarial, and personally specialises in the recruitment of Actuarial professionals in the Non-Life, Life & Health markets, providing clients with both permanent and interim solutions across the UK. Mohammed has recently added Wealth Management to his remit, in a recent reshuffle, so keeping very busy as you can imagine.
TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARIES
Our next anniversary is Iain Garfield, whom is celebrating his second-year anniversary with us. Iain joined BWD in October of 2017 with a mandate to drive the growth of the Pensions & Benefits Division. He has, over the years, developed a reputation for candour, professional expertise and delivery that is unmatched in the market, as well as building high-performing teams of professional and respected recruitment professionals.
Iain has accrued a 100% success rate on retained search assignments over the last 20 years, further evidence of his ability to understand and evaluate the professional, personal and cultural needs of clients and candidates alike. On his two-year anniversary at BWD, Iain said, “Hard to believe that I've just had my 2-year anniversary at BWD - it's gone in the blink of an eye!... Thanks to all the candidates we've helped over those 2 years, and we look forward to helping you shape your careers further in the future.”
LOYALTY AT BWD
BWD consists of individuals who have been with the business right from inception. Our core team averages seven years of service, which is rather uncommon for a recruitment company, making BWD stand out very positively.
As the business continues to grow, we would like to see these anniversary numbers continue to rise and I will be able to write much more about this topic in the future!

We are also constantly expanding the business, as we believe that “Growth is good”, shown through the number of anniversaries we have to celebrate this term, and our continual internal recruitment will only produce more.
